I found out yesterday that I have a mass (likely a tumor) on the back of my brain. After two trips to the ER, countless phone calls, and the runaround with Emory\’s neuro department, we are heading to Duke in the morning to get things started. We are leaving the babies here with family which is so so difficult – I know they are in good hands but the last thing I want to do is leave them. I just finished writing up 6 pages of care instructions and I feel like it\’s too much information and not enough all at once.
Trying to stay optimistic and I hope recovery is short and uneventful. Hoping the mass is benign and doesn\’t return. Trying to prepare for the worst but it\’s tough when you\’re simultaneously trying so hard not to let it enter your mind.
