Weddings and Houses and Jobs, OH MY!

Things have been crazy hectic lately….first and foremost, Hunter and I got engaged in March!!  Since then, I (with the help of Franklin, my right-hand man) have been looking for dresses and I have been scouring the internet for venues, cakes, flowers, etc.  There are just so many options and so many things to consider.  I thought I had ideas of what I wanted, but now I\’m finding myself questioning my color choices, gown materials, SEASON for the ceremony….lol

Oh, and did I mention that we are looking for a house/townhouse as well?  We found one that we loved, looked at it last week, put in an offer….and got rejected.  Man, that was like a punch to the gut.  With (somewhat) renewed energy and spirit, we went to look at some more potential homes today..they were ok, but not as great as the first one.  Hunter is being encouraging, telling me that we can make one of them into our dream house (which IS true, I suppose) but I\’m just waiting for something that will really take my breath away….unfortunately, in our price range, that will take nothing short of a miracle.

And then there\’s the job front–I am not officially a freelance editor!!  Just finished (well, pretty much) my first project and am looking for more.  It was a lot more work than I had anticipated, but it was also a lot of fun.  I am also looking for full-time work, and have had some luck with landing interviews….we\’ll see how that all turns out.  For now, I will just remain (mostly) content at my current job.

More to come at a later date…and hopefully some new pictures if I can find the charger for our camera battery.
